Was very happy with the way these looked when they arrived - much better than I was expecting for a 50 year old part. Chrome still pretty nice, no cracks in the lens, etc.

Perfect.. Just like the day it was made

IIRC, if you're looking for this part for your car, you have three choices. A new one with the proper Ford oval trademark, a similar-looking new part without the trademark for less money, and a used one for even less money, presumably from one of the cars in their wrecking yard. And as the saying goes, you pays your money and you makes your choice. This is particularly true of a used part, as no two are bound to be alike, just as no two used cars are really identical. You're assured that there's no corrosion on the chrome and that the actual reflector is in solid condition. In my case, both of these facts were the case, but the black-painted skinny ring that's part of the finish didn't completely encircle the reflector housing. I mention this because you'll receive the best example of the used reflector that they have at the time of order, and to be fair, it's about half the cost of the new one with the Ford oval trademark, so that's the bargain you're entering into. Mine also came with the black gasket that seals the reflector against the quarter panel and the two speed nuts that secure it from the inside of the trunk. Very quick installation. In my case, my original gasket was slightly better than the one which came with the used part, so I reused the original one. If you're repairing a Cougar for top points in a concours, you'll want the new part with the proper logo. I showed my stock, unrestored, low-mileage car all through last summer, and will again this coming year, and I don't think anyone will get down on their knees to examine every square inch of my car, so I'm fine with the used part I received. Very pleased, I only wished my BMW dealer treated me as well as WCCC.
