My 71 XR7 was 1/2" lower on the driver side than the other side. I decided to lower the car while I was at it so I bought front and rear lowering springs. I got the front springs first and had them installed and they corrected the leaning problem. Weeks later the rear springs arrived (but sooner than expected) so they got installed and now the car sits fairly level all the way around. I'm told it will settle and should be perfect. I don't know what the factory height is supposed to be but my car looked higher even after I removed the sir shocks. The rear height was 28" rear now is 25.7 and the front was 27" now 25.5". So my car is 1-1/2" to 2-1/4" lower than what the previous owner had it and it looks, handles and rides much better. Most vintage cars are no longer at the factory ride height, it could be lower or higher if a previous owner raised it. So don't be surprised if these springs raise or lower your car more or less than 1/2" +/- than the factory ride height, not the ride it is at now. (noted in the website description). I wish my car came with the Competition suspension but I am glad I could add it now, big improvement in ride, handling and looks. See the before and after pic below
