Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Good used emblem with no bends, but will be scratched. Will need new adhesive tape as these did not come with studs. For any Cougar, but only came on 1969-70 Standard Models, and all 1971-73 Mercury Cougars. 1971-73 XR7 and Standard Models, as well as convertible.
We often get asked about where to place 69-70 XR7 and Cougar adhesive emblems. Based on personal experience and pictures from the original Ford archives the answer would be "Pretty much wherever you think looks best". Often as seen in this picture the line workers did not even attempt to get them very well centered. Both emblems were placed on the RH side of the deck lid "somewhat" centered.
