    Description

Restored six piece anodized aluminum front moulding / trim set for the Mercury Cougar. We suggest you make the order online and then send your cores with a copy of your invoice. Once your cores arrive we will ship the restored set.  If you do not have good cores we do have them for sale. These restored original trim parts have the correct satin "bright dip" anodized finish and look like NOS! We have sold hundreds of these trim parts to Cougar owners all over the world, many of which are "show" cars. This set is offered at a great price and is better quality than many NOS trim parts that have 40 years of shelf wear.

*NOTE* This option is "hold for core" which means you would send your cores in first so that we can closely inspect them and core match. Beneficial for those with very nice cores.

Hello Everyone, Don doesn't know I'm doing this, but I'm going to do a little "advertising" for him on the aluminum restoration offered on his web site. I just got my 1967 - 1968 six piece front trim set back, and while the pictures on the site of the finished product are pretty good, you can't really appreciate the work unless you see it in person. It's flawless... If anyone out there has been considering spending the $$$ to do this, just go for it! I didn't think my original trim looked too bad before, considering it was 40 years old and had 90,000 plus miles of wear and tear, but if you're like me and feel your paint job was money well spent, this little addition makes that paint just pop. Thanks Don! You guys at WCCC are the BEST! Mark

By the way, brief update, the 6 piece aluminum front trim you fixed me up with a year back or so still looks like new even after around 6000 miles and numerous bug cleanings for car shows. I'm very happy with the results. I see you have kept my comments about them on your web-site. I wouldn't change a word!!!! Thanks again for all you do for our hobby!!Mark Kinrade 10-6-09

When sending us your core(s), we will need a copy of your invoice. Or at the very least, your invoice number which is located at the top left corner of your original invoice. We will also need the date of your purchase.

Once you have your trim cores packed, we suggest that you take them outside and throw them up into the air as high as you can. After your box lands, jump on it. If you do not think that it will survive, you have not packed it well enough. We have discovered that this type of abuse is typical with shipping. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur in shipping.

Do not send us pretzel shaped parts, parts you have attempted to fix yourself, or flattened out parts. We need trim parts showing only MINOR dents, dings, dullness, or scratches.

If you have viewed our video on how to determine if your core is acceptable and still have further questions, please fill out our contact form and we will help you evaluate your trim cores.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
