Used locking pawl for the 1970 - 1979 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang that is equipped with a factory tilt steering column. Ford calls this Rod - Door Latch Push Button. This is the passenger side manual door locking rod. Side specific to the driver side on any 1971-73  Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Your chromed plastic lock knob threads onto the threaded end, the lower end hooks onto the door latch. Ford part number D1ZZ-6521852-A.

This handle is a good replacement for the window cranks found on the 1971 - 1972 Cougar both front and back. The originals were 4 1/4" total length and this replacement handle is 4 7/8" long. The High tone is indicated in raised letters located on the perimeter of the horn.
