    1 Cougar Applications

    Description

A scratch obtained during shipping, an irregularity in the anodized plating process, a ding in a hard to reach spot, a slip on the buffer wheel... There are many reasons why we label our restored trim parts as blems. We carefully examine every trim part that comes back from our restorer for the smallest of imperfections. If we would not place them on our $40,000.00 Cougar we do not expect you to. From 10-15 feet away these look as good as our premium quality restored parts, but upon closer inspection you will find irregularities. Great for that driver that is occasionally shown.

This kit carries a $250 core charge, refundable when we receive and inspect your cores.

DID YOU KNOW? Kurt Lawrance at Kurt's Restoration & Collision (formerly KTL Restorations in Danville Virginia) reports that the correct color for the 1970 hood trim set can be obtained from RM Paint, Diamont code C2MMA878.50. The same basic color can be obtained in aerosol can form from multiple sources that market it as 67-68 Mustang / Cougar lower dash paint.

When sending us your core(s), we will need a copy of your invoice. Or at the very least, your invoice number which is located at the top left corner of your original invoice. We will also need the date of your purchase.

Once you have your trim cores packed, we suggest that you take them outside and throw them up into the air as high as you can. After your box lands, jump on it. If you do not think that it will survive, you have not packed it well enough. We have discovered that this type of abuse is typical with shipping. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur in shipping.

Do not send us pretzel shaped parts, parts you have attempted to fix yourself, or flattened out parts. We need trim parts showing only MINOR dents, dings, dullness, or scratches.

Due to the difficulty in obtaining trim we no longer sell these without first having you send us your cores.

Keep in mind we buy most trim and mouldings found on a Cougar.
