Description

This is the exact copy of the high performance air cleaner. This unit features a highly polished chrome top with a dimpled recess for the wing nut and all contours are concours correct. The filter element has the correct orange color and round hole design with the base plate painted in the correct Ford blue and also includes the breather tube. Decal and correct wing nut are optional.

Dimensions: 13 7/8" X 2 1/4" (edge height).

Replaces Ford part # C5ZZ-9600.

Excellent quality with an original 60's heft and feel that the average aftermarket air cleaner doesn't have. It also has a removable plug for the breather hole underneath which was handy since I'm not using my closed emissions oil filler cap with this dress-up. I combined this with a set of Cougar finned valve covers and couldn't be happier

Some have claimed other styles of lids (double hump) are correct.
Ford records dispute heresay.
This should create a standard for your 427 GTE

I think there is a different style lid that was used for the 427. A similar lid with a double hump, instead of the flat top is arguably claimed as being correct.
