These are 100% correct reproductions for the 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7-G, but will fit any 1967-68 Cougar. These will NOT lay flat against the valance, as the originals did not. These are beveled on purpose and if you attempt to straighten them they WILL break. The reproductions that do lay flat against the valance are no longer being produced. Excellent reproduction of the 1968 GTE exhaust tips. Correct in every way, these are an exact copy of the originals.

If it were not for the dimples in the top of these rolled tip stainless steel reproductions, they would be visually "spot on" from the rear view once installed! Since the dimpled portion is hidden by the rear valance, this makes for a cost effective replacement option or great for that GT-E clone. Sold as a PAIR. Excellent reproduction of the 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7-G exhaust tips. Copied from an NOS example, these are accurate in every way, even down to the Shelby Ford part number. When these were originally stamped with the part number, they used an upside down "M" for a W in the S8WS-5232-A casting number, as shown in the photo. That is not a typo. Factory used exhaust tip from a 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E. Fairly good condition, has some scuffing on the lips of the tips and or scuffing on the bottom edge. Factory stamped C8WX-5C262-A. A 20% discount for purchasing a pair.
