This unit mounts on the main air chamber, it opens and closes the air vent. Made of nylon with a steel and brass plunger just like original. This unit is easy to test and can be seen by removing the glove box. Often it is the internal spring that fails on these and if your Cougar or Mustang will not easily change between blowing through the defrost ducts and the floor duct, this unit may be the culprit. Chrome air cleaner lid removed from a Q code, 351-4V or 351CJ 1972 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang, likely Torino and Mercury mid sized cars too. Ford / Mercury have had various part numbers listed for this basic lid over the years. The primary difference was the original lids included an engine size sticker. That is why there are so many listings, the basic part number is 9661. Chrome will be used, and will have some defects to the plating.

Nice unused space saver spare tire for a Ford. Vintage Good Year brand tire with size F78-14. BF Goodrich is another common brand of tire installed for use with unique storage location, hold down, and inflation bottle. This one does not appear to have been inflated or used on the road. Still has the nubs on the face of the tire as shown.

Original space saver tire marked F78-15 from a 1970's Mercury or Ford. GoodYear brand it has the larger hub size, bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2. This is the correct base for a 1972 Mercury Cougar with a Q code 351-4V Cleveland engine. It came with a painted lid unless your car happened to have been ordered with the "Sporty Exhaust" package and then a chrome lid was included. One year only air cleaner for the Cougar. Ford casting number D2ZF-9600-EA or D2ZF-9600-KA.

This vacuum actuated door assembly was used on several performance motors without Ram Air. When extra air was needed under heavy acceleration the vacuum actuator opened the door on the side of the air cleaner base. The actuator on this unit needs to be rebuilt so this is considered a good core only.

Also known as the throttle valve, this valve controls vacuum to the transmission as you press the gas pedal, and it will apply higher control pressure for better quality shifts at higher RPMs. Ford part number C4AZ-7A377-B.

Used servo cover from a 1971-73 Ford C-6 transmission. This cover has the big L cast into it, which designates it as an "L" Intermediate Servo Band Cover. This is a grade 'A' used mirror assembly with no UV damage and has had the mirror lens "re-silvered". Very good used door glass with no deep scratches (multiple faint scratches and water spots often will be present). This is a complete set of four used headlight bulbs, marked with the FoMoCo logo. These sets come with two high beam and two low beam bulbs. Each bulb is tested by the electrical department. If you're trying to keep your Cougar or Mustang as close to original as possible, you should definitely grab a set.These bulbs are date coded, so if you want a particular date, be sure to mention it in the comments section of your order.

Now you can replace this original part, which is commonly stripped out, with a nice reproduction. Must be welded to floor pan. 6 total per car, 2 inboard in the transmission tunnel, and 4 on the rear seat pans. Good reproduction reinforcing plate, contours are like the C5ZZ-7610962-A plate which was used through 1970. Thick steel like the originals, and with same contours. This is the "Chrome" trim across the top of the windshield on the inside. This piece will need to be sandblasted and repainted. Many people have chromed these, but because of Federal safety regulations from the factory they were painted satin silver.Ford Part Number: D1ZZ-7603606-A.

This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-D (outer section) and Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-C (inner section) make up this two piece shroud for the 1972 - 1973 Q code 351-4V engine. This inner shield conforms to the 351-4V cast iron exhaust manifold only and the outer portion fits both the 2V and 4V.

Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-D (outer section) and D2AZ-9A603-B (inner section) make up this two piece metal shroud for all 1972 - 1973 H code 351-2V engines. The outer shield section is common to both 2V and 4V 1972 - 1973 351c engines but the inner is unique to the 2V.

C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

Older used aluminum intake manifold. Port size is for the 2V cylinder heads. Perfect for adding a 4 barrel carburetor to a stock 351 Cleveland 2V engine.

Lightly used intake manifold cast aluminum 427-4V medium riser. Blue Thunder casting 427MR-4V. Has the oil fill tube in front, dual plane, and the road draft provision in the back. Very tall manifold, likely to not fit under the stock hood of a Cougar or Mustang. Do your research on this, if you know, you know. We don't. Small portion on the driver side front has been lightly ground down, likely for a coil. No other issues noted.
