This is a very rare option for the 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar, Ford Mustang, and Shelby Mustang. It utilizes a center dash AC vent to blow fresh air into the cabin. The heater box is very similar to the standard heater box / plenum but has the vacuum switch and bracket mounted to the top. Reproduction locking pawl for the 1970 - 1979 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang that is equipped with a factory tilt steering column. This unit works in conjunction with a pin and is responsible for locking the tilt column in place. In many cases, the pin tends to move out of place and break or chip the teeth of the locking pawl. Used lower steering column knuckle for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This unit is used in the 1970-73 tilt only column and can be the issue when you have a sloppy feeling tilt column. The hard steel pin will often waller out the soft cast metal and cause play in the column.
