This plate has three bumps, we have found a Ford number of C9OZ-6269-A, this may be a service replacement number and could be found on engines built earlier than 1969. Phillips flat head machine screw for attaching bucket seat, seat back release catch on any 1968-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang including bench seat cars. Original screws are trilobed, meaning that they have triangle shaped threads instead of perfectly round. Helps with locking. We recommend using locktite or some other thread sealer when installing. This dealer installed kit was designed to fit many FoMoCo products. These were most commonly mounted on the driver side rear panel.
