You will not realize how yellowed your original is until you put it next to this new one. Correct for XR7 or standard 67-68 consoles. Note, these install much easier if you trim a small sliver off each of the four mounting tabs with a utility blade.

Sprayed with black flocking on the front side and color coded to the console base on the rear side. We have several colors in stock but cannot guarantee you will get your desired color. Will have at least one broken tab for mounting. A drop or two of glue will be needed to attach to the console.

This is a good used pit free part (at least in the area that shows from beneath your pad) that still has the rear clip in place. You will see this same part in Mustang catalogs for $125.00. The only difference between Mustang and Cougar is that the Cougar has holes drilled in it for the pad that lays on top of it. Not for use with the 1968 standard console.

This quality reproduction 1967 Mustang part can easily be made to fit your 1967 - 1968 XR7 or 1967 standard Cougar manual transmission console simply by drilling the two holes near the front for the spring clips that attach the pad to the console. New chrome finish screws for attaching OEM consoles. Screws fit all stock consoles 1967-73 on Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, most any Ford consoles actually. Phillips head oval. 1967-68 consoles use 4 attaching screws, 1969-70 consoles need 6 along the outside, 1971-73 consoles have a total of 8 screws along the outside. These are 1-1/2 inches long like the originals.

This used kit is for the person who has purchased a console minus the parts needed to hook it up to the shifter. The chrome shifter is identical to the non-console version except for the little loop welded at the base. This loop is needed to attach the white plastic arm that moves the indicator light. Burl woodgrain applique kit in the Burl wood design for the 1968 XR7-G console switch panel. This 3 piece kit includes narrow strips for the chromed edging on console and the fog light and sunroof switch bezel. Color and grain is very close to the originals. This is going to be a grade "B" pad, so expect it to show signs of warping and de-laminating. It will most likely be sun damaged, and the holes around the radio knobs may be elongated. We cannot guarantee that we can give you the color you select, so plan on repainting this item. Even if we can provide your color, there is always some discoloration from age and use.

Grade "B"s  will show obvious pitting, but will have no cracks. Not for use on XR7 or manual transmission consoles.Casting number as seen on the bottom side C8ZB-65045B72-BW.

Good lower Grade B pad with no cracks or burns. We have several of these in stock but cannot guarantee we can give you the color you select. Has very small blemishes in chrome around the shift stem opening. May or may not have the rear clip in place. You will see this same part in Mustang catalogs for $125.00. This Grade A quality ashtray lid was located at the rear of the console and was used on all 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougars except the 1967 standard model and the 1968 XR7G. This ashtray differs from other ashtrays you will see on various Ford products in that it has a brushed finish and a slightly taller lower section. Anti rattle pad that hooks onto the top edge of the front bumper brackets. These created a soft cushion to prevent the stone deflector from coming into contact with the bumper bracket. These were originally held on with friction tape, same type of tape that Ford used to wrap the wiring harnesses. Sold individually, two needed per car.

These are the brackets required to mount the optional rear bumper guards. They mount behind the rear valance and are often overlooked when people part out a Cougar. *NOTE* As is often the case, service replacement parts are painted satin black and the originals installed on the assembly line were left natural. The mounting brackets are in fact supposed to have a natural finish if your car came with them from the factory.

Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted. The actual screw has a large head which is made for license plates, but is not the factory Ford style of fastener for Concours judged cars. Reproductions of the rare mounting kit brackets used to hold the shift indicator assembly to the console. The washer measures 1 13/16" x 5x8" and the total length of the screw is 1 3/8" but a much shorter screw would suffice. *NOTE* the raised lip of this washer faces up and only the three beveled holes on the shift indicator bezel use them.
