Fine scratches but great for the guy who wants original. The Reproduction does not have the II-DMI-6 lettering at the bottom like this original. This threaded replacement wand will require you to cut 8/32" fine threads in your original controller. Your OEM mirror controller is made of a very soft metal so one can often install these as "self tapping".1967 and 1968 are different, see comparison picture. The 1968 version was rounded off due to new safety standards. The mirror nut tool will fit over the 1967 wand, but not the 1968.

1967 was the last year for the 3/8"-16 threads. We also carry the J bolt C6OZ-1448-A, and the top plate or disc C5ZZ-1424-A. Wing-nut, spinner. *NOTE* The original 67 wing nut had no protruding tabs in the recessed area as did most of the 1968 - 1973 wing nuts.
