For 1967 both the XR7 and Standard model used the decal shown on this reproduction trunk lock cover. For 1968 only the Standard model used this decal as the XR7 and XR7G had their own unique center badging. *NOTE* You will have to apply the licensed by Ford decal to the deck lock cover. This is the correct size walking cat decal for your eyelid door on the 1967 - 1969 Cougar. It has the studs in the exact place as the originals. This emblem was used on the driver side of the 1971 - 1972 Cougar hood and on the passenger side of the trunk lid in 1967 - 1968. Also used on various other Mercury products like the Comet, Cyclone, and Marquis prior to 1973. This will not fit on the fender extension of the 1967- 1968 Cougar. This Mercury script emblem is mounted onto the driver side fender extension. This is an original part still in the Ford box, engineering number on the back of the emblem reads C7WB-16098-A, Ford part number is C7WY-16604-A.

These reproductions are fantastic quality! We sent NOS originals to Scott Drake to duplicate and they could not have done a better job. Most of our grade A pads (other than black) will show some degree of fading. If you plan on repainting let us know and instead of replacing the reproduction emblem and beauty ring we will leave them off the pad for you to install after painting.
