Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
This is a four piece set of correctly restored, anodized aluminum hood / fender trim. You will need to paint the recessed areas black or argent depending on whether your Cougar is an Eliminator, XR7 or Standard model. Our 1970 mouldings are sold on exchange basis or outright. If you have extra 1969-1970 cores we would be happy to purchase or or allow an in store credit for them.
Ford part numbers from the MPC are as follows: D0WY-16074-A, D0WY-16075-A, D0WY-16856-A, and D0WY-16857-A.

*NOTE* Keep in mind we will buy your extra core trim or allow credit towards the purchase of our restored trim. if you have no core trim to exchange, we do have cores for sale.
DID YOU KNOW? Kurt Lawrance at Kurt's Restoration & Collision (formerly KTL Restorations in Danville Virginia) reports that the correct color for the 1970 hood trim set can be obtained from RM Paint, Diamont code C2MMA878.50. The same basic color can be obtained in aerosol can form from multiple sources that market it as 67-68 Mustang / Cougar lower dash paint.
