This is a reproduction of the automatic transmission console for a 1967 Mustang but it also works on a 1968 Mustang.

With the the addition of the two pads (Radio Pad and the Lower Pad: 1967 or 1968) it easily becomes a 1967 Cougar or 1968 Cougar console.

    Question
    Asked:
Will this console work on our 68 Mustang convertible with the original automatic shifter? And - do you have a template for cutting the base for the convertible floor? Thanks.

    Answer
It's actually a Mustang console because of the different radio and lower pads that would make it Cougar, it will fit coupe or convertible. And sorry, we don't have a template.

    Question
    SchertzCoug Asked:
My 1968 did not come from factory with a console. No A/C. Has original Philco AM radio installed. What all do I need to properly install this repo console?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:

This will install into your car as is, but to make it correct for the Cougar you will also want to order the Radio Pad and the Lower Pad: 1967 or 1968.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
