This is a 3 or 4 speed console for a 1967 Mustang but with the the addition of the two pads it easily becomes a Cougar console. Although not visually correct, it will work just as well in a 1968 Mustang or Cougar.

This console does not include the rear radio to console three piece bracket or the windlace that fits between lower dash and console base.

The pictures here show the biggest downfall of this console. Right out of the box the radio bezel portion was grossly misaligned with the lower portion. We had to relocate the mounting holes away from the factory embossed areas to achieve what you see here.

We noticed that the "brushed surfaces" were recreated by using an aluminum overlay. The overlay was lifting so we could not help but pull it off to investigate.

The picture below shows the bezel was painted with a satin finish paint. This easily scratched off with my thumbnail which leads me to guess that is why they chose the more durable overlay over the painted chrome. Again, notice the misalignment of the two metal parts.

Notice no seat belt pocket liners are included.

The ashtray does not come with rubber bumpers but don't be surprised if they are not reproduced sometime in the future.

It was obvious that this console ashtray had some paint loss before leaving the manufacturer. Looks like it was touched up with a sharpie.

The base is a very accurate duplication of the original, even the texture is correct. We would love to in the future offer the base only for our Cougar customers.

The inside of the storage compartment does not have the flocking like original.

The connection point between the console base and storage compartment back wall is different than original and probably better.

Look at the letter "P" of the watermark below. You will see a obvious defect in the casting.

The picture below shows where we had to re-drill to get the console parts to better align with each other.

    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

Brake booster failed on our 1970 Mach1. We had ordered a new 2022 Mach1 to match the old one and the dealer wanted to use both cars in a promotional ad. When we received the replacement booster it failed within a few minutes of installation. I...
