These Mustang emblems have the incorrect pin placement for the 1968 Cougar so if you have original GT fenders you will have to drill new holes. Once mounted they look correct. Replaces the C7ZB... individual casting numbers. Licensed by FORD

This decal was used on the Standard model Mercury Cougar for 1968 and both the XR7 and Standard model Mercury Cougar for 1967. Will require slight trimming for perfect fit. These reproductions are fantastic quality! We sent NOS originals to Scott Drake to duplicate and they could not have done a better job. They come with the original type barrel clip fasteners and feature die cast frames with correct pin placement. These emblems are correct in every detail. We are really excited about these as it was said that they could never be done at a reasonable price without compromising quality. The 1967 XR7 did not have rocker panel mouldings as did the 1968 - 1973 XR7 Cougars. All 1967 XR7 models came equipped with these "Hash" marks fastened to the rear of both rockers, at a rear tilting angle. Both sides received seven ribs, held by two Phillips screws each for a total of fourteen ribs in all. You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 67-68 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. Our grade "A" doors do not have noticeable blisters but since there is no paint or sound deadener in the depths of the corners we know there is some amount of corrosion taking place...

This area of the door often cracks due to the stress caused by worn out hinges. This twelve piece kit includes six screws and six form fitting washers to reinforce the recessed areas that often crack. Steel door latch reinforcement repair kit. Countersunk bushings and screws for reinforcing the inside the door mounted latches on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These are the screws that secure the door latch mechanism to the door shell. These screws come with the attached crown headed lock washer, just like the originals, so be sure to tighten them down snugly to ensure that the screw head sits flush into the screw holes.
