1968 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Engine - Factory Dual Exhaust

Band or ring style factory exhaust pipe clamp. For 2 inch outside diameter exhaust pipes. Comes with a course sheet metal type threaded hex head bolt. Ford part number C5DA-5A272-B. *Note all 1967 & 1968 Cougars had 2 inch tailpipes from the factory. Check the outside diameter of your current tailpipe for fitment. Part number C6AA-5A272-A is the factory style 2-1/4" tailpipe clamp.

This is a rare find... This used 4 piece bracket set was taken from a June 17th built 1968 390 X code Cougar with factory dual exhaust. These are much cleaner used parts than you will see in other regions as they have never been exposed to road salt. We no longer sell them with the bolts and clamps, this is a sample photo of one of several sets we have in stock as of 10-12-07. This is the harder to find tail pipe hanger as it was only used on dual exhaust cars. Will have usable but cracked rubber. Mounts to the frame on the left side of the fuel tank. Supports and holds the rear of the tailpipe stationary. All 1968 - 1969 dual exhaust Cougars, all engines. Ford part number C8WY-5260-B.
