Mercury Cougar shift handles never came covered in real leather from the factory but what a cool upgrade! We sell a lot of these and the feedback has been great. We also carry the original plastic covered (simulated leather) reproduction XR7 shift handles in several colors but this real leather handle comes in black only.

Used wiring pigtail that comes from the 14290 under hood harness and runs to the left and right side markers, starter solenoid and to the left and right front turn signals.

Reproduction pair of black seat belt buckle bezels for the Mercury Cougar, Ford Mustang, or Ford Torino. It is little details like these that often make the difference between first and second place at the show. 

Both deluxe and standard use the same retractor in 1968 - 1969 and left is the same design as right. Grade "A" retractors will show no fading or cracks on the holster / retractor cover, good chrome buckle and may even still have the date code tag sewn in place. Used plastic sheath that covers the bolted buckle end of where your shoulder belt attaches to the roof section of your car. Sometimes when removing the bolt from your shoulder belt, this sheath will tear if the plastic has become stiffened. Used wiring pigtails for the ignition switch and ignition system of the standard Mercury Cougar. One pigtail plugs into the back of the ignition switch and the other goes through the firewall and connects to the main under hood wiring harness. These pigtails also have the pink resistance wire intact which runs between the two pigtails.  DO NOT cut or splice into this wire, it's resistance is dependent upon it's UNCUT length.

C3AZ-4730-B Rubber bumper that mounts to the metal axle snubber on Ford nine inch rear ends on 1967 - 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Good used part with solidly mounted metal threaded stud. Pinion bumper. The casting number seen on the 67-68 is C3AA-4906-C, this version has fine threads. The version most often seen on the 69-70 is C9OA-4906-A. It will have a coarse threaded mounting stud. Two of these were used on certain 1967 Shelby Mustangs with traction bars.

Steering column to steering box coupler, also known as a 'rag' joint. Used on 1967 1968 1969 1970 Cougar tilt columns, differs greatly from the fixed column version in that is has a "D" shaped fitting on the column side. Vacuum / electric tilt away solenoid for the 1968 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These vacuum tilt solenoids are tested and guaranteed to work. When bench testing the 1967-69 tilt away release solenoid, verify that there is continuity between the two electrical spade connectors.
