This item features weld through primer and is ready to install. Unfortunately both Cougars and Mustangs alike are prone to rust in these areas, so finding a nice original piece can be difficult. This replica tag is of a lower quality than the originals were. The aluminum stock from which this Mercury Cougar A/C tag is made, is about half the thickness of original and the font, instead of being white, is unpainted aluminum. This is a cheap looking, and feeling, part compared to the original. We do have the clip that holds it in place. Check out the product images for an example of factory placement for this tag.

Air conditioning fan blower BARE clam shell assembly for any 1969-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with factory A/C. Assembly comes as shown: fiberglass two piece housing, flapper door, and a couple of clips to hold it together. Grade A used may have a minor stress crack or small chip. The holes for attaching duct work will be good. See Grade B for a lower cost version.
