The center shaft of this reproduction is a flat piece of steel that is bent into a circle to make the shaft for the eyelet bolt to go through, just like NOS. This 3 degree wedge properly sets the pinion angle for the drive shaft. This is a Cougar specific part which is needed due to the longer than normal rear leaf spring length. There are other wedges, but we seldom see them. This 3 degree marked wedge is the most prolific one. Feel secure in using these as a replacement. Sold individually, two required per vehicle.
