This used grade "B" remote mirror has chrome that looks shabby, adjustment wand is unbroken and working. Used on the drivers side of standard Cougars, no passenger side mate was ever offered with this mirror. Ford Casting number as seen on the bottom side is D1OB-17713-AWA. Many people misinterpret it as D10B-17713-AWA, DI0B-17713-AW or Dl0B-17713-AWA. Perfect base with no cracks or bends. Visually it is impossible to tell this part from 1970 with a D0OB-17713-AW casting number on the bottom. The Pastel Blue base is from a 1970 and the Red base from a 1971. Reproduction locking pawl for the 1970 - 1979 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang that is equipped with a factory tilt steering column. This unit works in conjunction with a pin and is responsible for locking the tilt column in place. In many cases, the pin tends to move out of place and break or chip the teeth of the locking pawl.
