When we say the "vintage casting look", we mean with the proper groove and contours. Reproductions are fine, but do not retain the casting design of the original casting company. When looking for used brake drums, the rule of thumb is to find ones with a brake surface area of 1/4 inch more than the brake shoe width.

C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.
