The molded section of the carpet is a perfect fit. I had very little to trim. Cutting holes was very difficult. You will need to have a sharp point to get thru the Mass Backed section of the carpet and then put in screws. I found an X-Acto knife worked the best to cut holes for the seats and seat belts.
Very nice quality product and great to have a video to show how to install.
Great quality kit and a video to help with installation makes WCCC the best.
The mass backed carpet is great. Before making a purchase I saw a video on YouTube with Don installing the carpet, which gave me the confidence to do it myself. For the most part it was a perfect fit just a little trimming on the edges for the perfect fit.
Sweettttttttttttttttttt! Thanks Don! If you love your cougar, put this carpet in it!
Carpet looks nice, makes a new car look.
Mass backing helps the kit lay and line up, and the sturdy pre-mold is pretty much dead on. Trimming the edges gets a bit tricky, but for a custom fit regardless of interior options, it needs to be that way. One weird thing is the edges where the 2 pieces meet in the middle. The finished edge is on the front section, but is supposed to go UNDER the unfinished edge from the rear section. (according to the vid and Ford Manual). That leaves an unfinshed, funky looking edge, which is mostly hidden under the seats and console, unless you do not have a console. The pre-mold does not lay as well if you choose to put the finished edge from the front on top (as I did, not having a center console, it looked better), but it will still fit OK.
