The latch fits well. Would recommend buying 4 of Item 41928, Retainer Clip - Door Latch Rod - Repro ~ 1967 - 1973 Mercury Cougar - 1967 - 1973 Ford Mustang I didn't want to reuse 50 year old plastic pieces from the original latch.

The area where the door ajar switch would mount, if your car has this, feature, isn't available on this repro latch (or any I've seen to date). Other than this it is a good latch.
