This is a must have tool to avoid damaging your door panel! Just some advice for some people if you have the same issue I had. My mirror bezel wasn't turning by itself, because the backing board had rotted away. To be able to remove the bezel, I had to take the door panel off and then grab the assembly on the inside to stop it from spinning with the bezel.
Didn't think of filing this because the 4 pieces were already very thin!WCCC Response:This is an exact fit for ALL used mirror nuts (bezels) and the 1970 - 1973 reproduction mirror nuts (bezels). However, you will find it does not fit our 67-68 repro mirror nuts (bezels) and will need some filing to be able to work on these mirror nuts (bezels). We, and countless customers, have been able to successfully file this down enough to make it work with the 67-68 reproduction mirror nuts (bezels).

Used to have to take a pair of needle nose and pull them apart and wedge something in the handle to keep the pressure - a real pain - this tool is painless and fast
Fit well enough to tighten the new retaining nut snuggly.
