Great way to get more speakers without cutting or modifying your car. This system utilizes the studs used for mounting your defroster ducts. Rather cumbersome to install and requires taking much of your dash apart. Check out this video ...

Pros:
  • Good quality part
Cons:
  • Fitment
This is apparently a Mustang part - which is to say it almost fits a Cougar. The installation requires attaching to the vent duct mounting screws and removing the stock speaker studs - which is called out in the product description. The issue with fit is that the drivers side of my '68 dash panel has a recessed area that this speaker's housing doesn't account for. A little coercion on the speaker housing with my grinding wheel made it fit nicely.
