My 68 originally had a center console in it. I wanted to install a modern radio with screen so I opted to swap out the shifter bucket and use this in place of the console. You will need a different shifter all together, which I found out the hard way. The new light needed the clip on portion on the shifter. But, this piece is nice. Looks nice and seems to be good quality. Would purchase again if I needed to.
