I measure the old rail from the end that fits into the radiator support cross-member to the center of the holes that are for the steering box as a reference to check the new rail and get the correct location of the forward steering stabilizer bracket. The new rail holes were off by about 1/8" from end to center, as compared to the old rail. Had I used the end of the new rail as a reference to locate the placement of the forward steering stabilizer bracket, it would have been off. However, the steering gearbox holes are the correct distance apart from each other and the other critical holes, such as the bumper holes and the main steering cross-member hole. So all the holes that I needed are correctly placed with regard to one another, but they are moved forward on the new rail as compared to the old rail. Sorry if this is confusing but it is important to know for those who have not gone through this yet. Use one of the steering gearbox holes as a guide to locate other critical locations. Do not use the end of the rail. I hope to post a Youtube video of this in the near future to make it more understandable. Other than this, the part was excellent. Also,I am glad I got the 2 piece rail rather than the one piece. It was nice being able to work from the inside of the frame rail while installing it. I was able to hammer the rail it into place without having to worry about scratching up the nice outer surface. The outer plate piece went on very easy after the main piece was done.

I am adding to my review on 1/21/19. I installed the steering gear box today and the two mounting holes that are farthest apart were 1/4" off so I had to drill all three holes larger to get the bolts to align. Having known this before I installed it in the car I would have welded the holes shut and re-drilled but the engine compartment is now painted so welding is out of the question.
