This part works like it should as it is original. All the Mustang catalogs show all kinds of differing length and thread size bolts but no cross reference for a Cougar. I have the 1968 styled wheels so I wanted to find the proper bolt and fit. Even the Lincoln Mercury MPC shows a longer 9.75" bolt as proper. Even though this is shorter than the size in the MPC, it works just fine!
