I decided to go from a center console to a floor shifter. You have to swap out the bucket as well as the shift arm due to the connection of the correct chrome bezel as well as the new indicator light that is needed for this style floor shifter. I will say that my original felt much more solid than this one and upon opening this up and messing with it, I noticed just how loose the lever was in the bucket itself. I had to add a flat washer on the outside of the bucket itself to get rid of the wobble and slack of this unit. I also had to adjust the cable that runs through the shift lever a bid because again, it was pretty sloppy. If I had to do it all over again, I would have probably just replaced the original shift lever with a grade A used one for shift without console that has the bracket needed for mounting the indicator light. This unit seems a lot less solid and not as well made as the original. If you can make up what you need without totally replacing, thats what I would suggest.
