My original keys were "locked" suddenly and unable to remove without some fiddling. First time in 25+ years, but figured time to replace since I didn't want to get stuck (would actually turn engine off but leave key turned over and disconnected battery so I wouldn't remove the key). First impression is that it looked the same as original but felt much less "solid", so lighter. Thought it could be a sign of a cheaper design, but it did work with one exception. Both for my original and this replacement I was unable to get the cylinder to release when pushing the plunger in the switch with a straightened paper clip. I could see it was pushing the plunger down, but no luck removing either original or this new one so just pulled the switch out with cylinder installed. Took a little twisting to clear, but not a big deal. BTW, with liberal use of WD40 the original key and cylinder seems to work fine, but kept the new one installed since I had already spent the time changing it.
very snug fit looks good
