The Mustang and Cougar have identical consoles for the 1971 - 1973 model years. This is a premium quality bezel that houses the clock and surrounds the manual or automatic shifter. Correct color and texture, includes chromed plastic bezel. We also sell the decal only. This was used on the Eliminator / Decor or Standard Interiors but can also be used on your XR7. NOTE: These inserts came with enough studs to fit multiple cars. When installing this insert, simply clip off the extra studs you don't need.

These original clips hold better than the reproductions we offer. If you look closely you will see the angle bend is more acute on the originals. For you 71-73 owners with warped panels you will want to use these original clips (at least along the bottom edge) for a tighter hold.
