Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Used in-tank, fuel sending unit without the low fuel option. Tested and cleaned units for all 1971 Mercury Standard model Cougars and all Ford Mustangs with 22 gallon fuel tanks. This is an original 1971 fuel sending unit that has a return fuel line, and with two electrical prongs. Ford casting number D1ZF-9275-B, master parts catalog number D1ZZ-9275-B. This unit comes with a new 3/8 inch filter, brass float, and sending unit gasket.
*Note - Not compatible with Mercury Cougar XR7 models with low fuel warning light. The sending units with low fuel have 3 prongs (2 electrical and 1 alignment prong).
**Note - Excludes 1971 Mustang models with 429 Super Cobra Jet engines.
