Used strap or support bracket for the foam air conditioning vent tube going to the passenger side A/C vent. The electrical assembly manual indicates that two of these strap brackets were installed above inside the dash above the glove box. This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line, and different routing (through the transmission tunnel), and did not use this part. Mounting bolts included.

Used brass fitting found on intake manifolds 1966-67 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Screws into the rear of the intake manifold directly. With 3 vacuum ports 3/16' and 1/4" for various accessories and a threaded port for the hard line going to the brake booster. Hot idle compensator valve assembly for many Ford engines with PCV, starting in 1964 through early 1968. Typically found on 1964-66 Ford 260-2V, and 289-2 engines with air conditioning. 1967-68 289-2V, 302-2V and some 390 engines all with air conditioning and PCV or closed emissions. The Ford assembly manual indicates that the Hot Idle Compensator Valve 'T' Assembly, was installed by removing 3/4 inches of the PCV hose, 2-1/4 inches (on center of the PCV valve). This threaded replacement wand will require you to cut 8/32" fine threads in your original controller. Your OEM mirror controller is made of a very soft metal so one can often install these as "self tapping".1967 and 1968 are different, see comparison picture. Yes, these were a dealer option available in the day. They cover the painted portion of your door sill that is not covered by the scuff plate. Great way to prevent scratches in your paint or hide existing scratches. Since they are made from stainless steel, you can polish them if and when they get scratched. This emblem was used on the driver side of the 1971 - 1972 Cougar hood and on the passenger side of the trunk lid in 1967 - 1968. Most of our grade A pads (other than black) will show some degree of fading. If you plan on repainting let us know and instead of replacing the reproduction emblem and beauty ring we will leave them off the pad for you to install after painting. This Mercury script emblem is mounted onto the driver side fender extension. This is an original part still in the Ford box, engineering number on the back of the emblem reads C7WB-16098-A, Ford part number is C7WY-16604-A.
