a+++
These covers look the part and dress up the engine bay nicely. The only complaint is the small lip where the gasket seats. The gaskets want to move around quite a bit before they're setting on the head. Worth the hassle. Maybe a different gasket other than the rubber ones do better.
Taller than stock but I wish they were just a bit taller still. I installed a set of Comp Cams Ultra Gold roller rockers on my Edelbrock heads and found these covers were just a little too low, so be sure you have proper clearance with roller rockers. I may get a spacer later on and use them again but in the meantime I had to switch to a taller cover. Otherwise a great product. Fit and finish is very very good.
Looks really shape, dresses the engine up. Very cool.
They fit right in place and really look sharp. Keep in mind that you will need longer bolts to make up for the thicker cover. I used a cork & metal gasket and ended up using 1" bolts with a washer to attach the covers.
I always wanted these on my '67. Finally, I could afford them and installed as part of detailing the engine compartment. I am also glad that these allow use of roller rockers!
As someone else stated, these are not tall enough to clear roller rockers; however, I found a good USA made set of valve cover spacers in black that match perfect. Only spacers I could find were 1 3/8" tall, a 1/2" would have been plenty. Using two good sets of Felpro valve cover gaskets and 2 1/4" long screws I got at the local NAPA, same style that are advertised to go with these covers, and you are in business.
Never thought a pair of valve covers could make such a HUGE change. My car looks great under the hood now. Thanks WCCC!!!!!!!
Can't imagine any nicer looking covers for a Cougar! Don't have to give all of the glory to "Ford" or "Ford Racing", etc.
excellent addition to dress up my engine and goes great with the oval air cleaner
