Original scissors jack. We save the working ones that come to our yard. Hinge points should get little oil or a quick spray of WD-40. Original space saver tire marked F78-15 from a 1970's Mercury or Ford. GoodYear brand it has the larger hub size, bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2. Nice unused space saver spare tire for a Ford. Vintage Good Year brand tire with size F78-14. BF Goodrich is another common brand of tire installed for use with unique storage location, hold down, and inflation bottle. This one does not appear to have been inflated or used on the road. Still has the nubs on the face of the tire as shown.

This tiny little spring has a diameter no larger than a pencil. Its function is to attach the deck lock cover to the deck lock housing and to keep the deck lock cover closed. This is an upgraded version from what you see in our video but the idea is the same. This tool has a square hole so you can use your 3/8" drive ratchet or breaker bar to get the correct angle and have even better control of your leverage when placing the torsion bar into the slot. After waiting several months, these reproduction 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar Deck Lock (Trunk Lock) covers are now finished! The reproduction chrome cover shown here sports a very rare original Ford, NOS XR7 decal. The NOS decal is different from our reproduction in three subtle areas. First the number "7" is a darker, richer color, second the decal fills the recessed area better and third the detail in the black area is a little different than our reproductions. There are several differences between this NOS decal and the good quality reproduction we offer.
