Used on both 351 2V and 4V motors equipped with the C6 transmission. Approximately 26-1/2" with red color code. The comparison picture with two rods side by side are the 71 - 73 FMX and C6 rods. *NOTE* Many assume the C6 was only available with a 351 equipped with a 4V but in fact you could get a C6 with a 351 2V in 1971 - 1973.

This Kick down rod works with all 351 Clevelands with the C6 transmission. The C6 came standard with all 4 barrel cars, and was optional on 2 barrel cars. This reproduction rod is made from stainless steel and weighs slightly more than the original. Also known as the throttle valve, this valve controls vacuum to the transmission as you press the gas pedal, and it will apply higher control pressure for better quality shifts at higher RPMs. Ford part number C4AZ-7A377-B.

Transmission shifter rod for all 1972-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with C6 automatic transmissions. Adjustable rod that connects the floor shifter to the C-6 automatic transmissions. New internal speedometer gear fits 4 speed toploader transmissions. The largest number of 4 speed toploaders came stock with this gear. Replaces Ford Part #: C4DZ-17285-A.

This clips affixes the plastic speedometer gear to the cable. Some have found that this OEM original clip fits a little better than the reproduction we offer. *Trivia* Did you know the first Cougar cast for production in 1968 was this "Custom Cougar"? Used brake pedal support bracket for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with manual drum front brakes and a manual transmission. Not for cars produced after 6/25/1972. If you have a manual transmission car with worn out clutch bushings, this is a great replacement part for you as it will have been removed from an automatic transmission equipped car.
