Steel inspection cover for all 1967 Cougar or Mustang with any of the FE engines 390, 427, or 428CJ and C6 automatic transmissions. Dust and inspection cover for the flexplate and torque converter. Usually will have a casting number of C6AP-7986-A stamped on it, also referred to as a Transmission C6 dust cover 390GT, 428GT500, 428CJ, 428SCJ.*Note - Some of these plates do not have the vent, or dimple at the bottom, like in the picture.Please keep in mind that this is a 40+ year old used item....

These little rivets are used to affix the ID tag to the passenger side of the 3 and 4 speed top-loader transmissions. Most tags are held in place by two rivets but on some only two are used from the factory.

Designed as a direct-fit OE-style replacement, this modulator valve will fit directly into the factory location of your current Cougar or Mustang valve. Also known as the throttle valve, this valve controls vacuum to the transmission as you press the gas pedal, and it will apply higher control pressure for better quality shifts at higher RPMs.

The washer measures 1 13/16" x 5x8" and the total length of the screw is 1 3/8" but a much shorter screw would suffice. *NOTE* the raised lip of this washer faces up and only the three beveled holes on the shift indicator bezel use them.

Used flexplate reinforcing ring, Ford called it a fly wheel reinforcing plate. Fits all Ford small block engines including 260, 289, 302, 351W and 351C. Strengthens the area where the automatic transmission flex plate mounts to the crankshaft. This is not just a ring with 6 holes in it, it is indexed specifically for the flex plate and only goes on one specific way. It has to be indexed because of the weight on the flex plate. This great little kit replaces stock Ford bushings that can wear out in as quick as one year. This is a very simple repair and upgrade, once you have removed the pedal support from the car. Upon completion of this you will be rewarded with greatly reduced pedal pressure and the knowledge that you will never have to replace these bushings again. Cougar actually used a larger ribbed plate on manual transmission cars without a console but this Mustang part is an inexpensive alternative. The rubber shift boot screws to the transmission tunnel, carpet then goes over it and lastly this retainer slips over the boot and hides the cut edges of your carpet. Nice reproduction clip for attaching the speedometer cable onto 3 and 4 speed 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Mounts to the firewall.

This reproduction clip secures the clutch pedal rod end as it comes through the clutch pedal hanger.  Keep in mind that this reproduction is a different size compared to the original (see comparison above) and will need to be modified to make fit.
