The automatic seat back release option for 1971 to early 1972 (before December 1971) Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. The automatic seat back release would pull the release lever on both of the bucket seats. This only happens when the either the driver or passenger side door is opened. Kit comes with the 1971- early72 specific wiring harnesses from the solenoid, includes 3 pin switch for the passenger pillar post, relay, solenoids, and cross over wiring. This option is best added to seats prior to upholstery. We are not sure that an installation can be performed with existing upholstery on the seat backs. Mid year 1972 the seat belts have an electrical plug for the retractable seat belt
