    Stamped Steel Pointer Mounts to Timing Chain Cover. Correct for 1968-69 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang 289, 302, and 351W Mercury Cougar or Ford anything including Mustang. We know the other vendors claim this part to fit 1967-73, but it doesn't. Works with 1968-69 Ford timing covers and with 1968-69 Ford 3 bolt harmonic balancers. Starting in 1970, Ford V-8 engines for Mustang and Cougar had timing pointers installed on the passenger side of the engine, and a companion harmonic balancer with 4 bolts for attaching crank shaft pulleys. 

    This pointer uses one of the timing cover bolts and a tiny screw for attaching. Small screw available in related items.

    * Note - not needed with 1967 and earlier timing covers with 'cast in' timing pointers.
