    Description

    Single cylinder head from either a 1968 X code 390-2V or 1969 Mercury Cougar with 390-4V or 390-IP engine. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 2.02 and 1.55 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 71-74cc's. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 10.5:1 (9.5:1 with X code). Basic cylinder head number is 6090. This is a GT cylinder head with 14 drilled and tapped exhaust bolt holes. These cylinder heads are exactly the same as the 1968 390GT heads but without the drilled and tapped thermactor smog holes. Current date codes include: 8K5, 8K16, 8A19, 8F19, 8F3, 8B23

    Ford casting numbers C8AE-H.
