The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

    "Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

    Knee pad as found on select 1968 Mercury Cougars. This grade A version will not be separating from the metal strip. Not a common option, your Cougar would have a line of mounting holes across the lower dash and above the glove box if your Cougar originally came with a knee pad. We don't always have these in stock in this condition. Call for desired color, but plan on spraying with a quality vinyl dye for best results. Black is our most popular requested color, and we will probably always be out of stock of black pads. This pad is different from the Mustang version which is reproduced. We also stock Grade B versions with some separation, if you wish to fill the empty holes in your dash.

    This safety feature was developed so as to comply with the new for 68 federal safety mandates. When it was determined it was not needed for compliance it was dropped. Most often found on early built cars from the San Jose plant.
