    Description

A scratch obtained during shipping, an irregularity in the anodized plating process, a ding in a hard to reach spot that did not come out 100%, a slip on the buffer wheel or a pin hole created by over polishing are what you can expect on a blemished piece of trim. We try to carefully examine every trim part that comes back from our restorer for the smallest of imperfections. If we would not place them on our $40,000.00 Cougar we do not expect you to... From 10-15 feet away these will look good but upon closer inspection you will find irregularities. Keep in mind that when you click onto these images they are greatly magnified making the blems look worse than they are. These are great for that driver that is occasionally shown.

*NOTE* If you purchase this blem set and it does not meet your expectations you are welcome to exchange it towards our premium grade restored set, no questions asked!

When one of our trim parts has a more noticeable blemish on the top side we sell those to walk in customers or place them on the "as-is" table at a swap meet. If the blemish appears on the bottom side (as shown in the pictures here) we consider that and acceptable piece for a driver. If you purchase this blem set and it does not meet your expectations you are welcome to exchange it towards our premium grade restored set, no questions asked!

The picture above shows what a shallow dent looks like from the backside after restoration. As you turn the trim over and look on the front there will be no sign of any previous damage or work having been performed. If you have trim parts with no dents at all and want back trim that has never had dings / dents removed then you will want to send your trim pieces in prior to having us sending restored parts to you. This way we can "core match" your parts to assure you get the same quality back.

The moldings are decent and have a nice shine! Like the title says they have" blems!" Yet will be a big improvement on some cars. But if you have a rare or investment grade car I would spend the extra little money on the premium! Don let me upgrade to the premium molding set and I'm very happy with them.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

My 1971 Cougar XR7 was retrofitted with a Ford “400”, Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb, TCI Street Fighter trans, B & M Hammer shifter, and dual turbo exhaust. While this sounds interesting, the Cougar itself was seriously neglected and...

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
