    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

Engine mount for all 1973 V-8 engines in 1973 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang coupe body styles only. 1973 only, and these only work with hardtop or coupe engine frame stands. We occasionally have these in good used condition, normally only one side is broken or worn.

In the long run we recommend converting to 1971-72 coupe engine stands and mounts. This requires replacing BOTH the 1973 coupe engine frame stands as well as the engine mounts with the 1971 - 1972 coupe version.

Sold individually, 2 per vehicle needed.

Purists and concours owners, we understand your needs. You will need to purchase Used or NOS only, this part is not reproduced in the aftermarket.
    Replaces Ford part number D3ZZ-6038-A.

    Question
    Dan Watson Asked:
Can these mounts be used to install a 302 in a 73 coupe?

    WCCC Admin Answered:
None of the Cougars came from the factory with a 302 in 1973, so we can not verify on an actual car. There is a bit of conflicting data in the Master Parts Catalog, but from everything we can find, it appears that the 302 and 351 coupes used the same brackets in 1973.

I noticed you mention in the description that long term, one should convert to the 1971-1972 mounts. How exactly does one do that because I can't find any info on this anywhere online. In fact, I only recently read up that the 1973 engine mounts are different, which explains why I couldn't get the new set of mounts I bought from Rock Auto to line up with the mounting holes on the chassis.

I have updated the description to make this clearer. This requires replacing BOTH the 1973 coupe engine frame stands as well as the engine mounts with the 1971 - 1972 coupe version.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
