Used Stereo Speaker Wiring Harness 1968 1969 1970 Cougar Mustang

Used / Wrecking Yard Item - 2-5 Business Days (May delay order)

Factory used and tested under dash wiring harness for all 1968 - 70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang cars with factory AM/FM or AM 8 Track stereo radios. This harness plugs into the speaker plug of the radio, and connects the kick panel speakers in a 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or to the A pillar post where it connects to the door wiring harness that has the speaker plug for the door mounted speakers in 1969-70 cars. White speaker wire goes to the passenger side speaker, and the orange colored wire goes to the driver side speaker. This is important to know so that your balance on your radio works properly. We also sell plug ends for repairing this 19A041 speaker harness. Tag on wiring is marked C6ZB-19A041-A, the MPC lists various other part numbers such as C8ZZ, and C9ZZ prefixes too. We have multiple copies of this exact wiring harness with the C6ZB part number. Proper length for door or kick panel mounted original speakers.

    Replaces part # C6ZB-19A041-A

Speaker wiring harness for factory AM-FM Stereo and AM-Eight Track

    5.00 out of 5
This is just the power and ground wiring for the two front kick panel speakers(1967 and 1968 Cougar), and also is supposed to work for cars with door-mounted speakers in conjunction with the wiring already in the door on newer Cougars and Mustangs. This harness is for the factory installation, and so uses bullet-type connectors. If you're installing aftermarket speakers that use 'spade' connectors, it's simple enough to make jumper wires for each side with bullet connectors on the radio end, and spade connectors on the speaker end. You need less than 10" of wire for each jumper, and I used shrink tubing to seal the junction of wire and terminal. I used the harness for my 1968 Cougar and a factory AM-FM Stereo radio that I ordered while the car was being shipped to me. My car has rear aftermarket speakers, and I've chosen to install and use only the front ones. If WCCC is out of stock on this used harness, I recommend signing up on the waiting list for their next harness - it's worth having if you're installing a factory stereo. Also, read the tech tip that accompanies the used speaker listing elsewhere in the WCCC catalog. If your 1967-1968 car didn't come from the factory with kick panel speakers, the inner fender wasn't cut out to accept the factory speaker, and there's no space between the factory kick panel trim you have and the inner fender to mount speakers. You need either to cut the inner fender on each side, or buy aftermarket kick panels with built-in speakers that mount the speaker further away from the inner fender.
