NOS brake pedal for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with power drum brakes. This unit will work with disc brake Cougars and Mustangs, but is not correct. That is because the power drum pad has "power brake" inscribed on the pad where the disc brake version has "disc brakes." This is the correct, original cover for your 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and 1971-73 Ford Mustang antenna. The Ford MPC calls this part a cap, it is the stainless steel rectangular piece of trim that goes on top of your factory antenna base. These are angled, so watch the orientation when installing. Used flexplate reinforcing ring, Ford called it a fly wheel reinforcing plate. Fits all Ford small block engines including 260, 289, 302, 351W and 351C. Late 1971 (4-1-1971) through mid late 1972 Mercury Cougar, approximate cutoff is 3-1-1972. Look for two different things to differentiate the trunk lids. First is the spacing on the bolts to the hinges. This style has a 4-1/4 inch spacing, early 1971 deck or trunk lids have a 3 inch spacing on those hinge bolts.
