C5AZ-10A370-C Alternator mounting spacer, goes between the cylinder head and alternator housing. Fits 1968-70 390-2V, 390-4V, and 428CJ engines. Smog OK. There is no casting number but one is listed C5AE-10A370-C. Inside diameter 7/16". We measure them out at 1-5/8 inches long, supposed to be pink anodized or tinted.

Application - 1968 - 390-4V and 427-4V, and all 1968 - 1970 428 Cobra Jet engines. This is also referred to as the low mount alternator mounting bracket. It has the Ford stamped casting number of C8AE-10156-A. Ford engineering number is C8AZ-10156-A.

Application 1968 - 289-2V, 302-2V, 302-4V, all with manual transmissions and without air conditioning. Also 1968 390-4V and 1968 - 1970 428CJ, all without air conditioning. This is a decent reproduction of the radio bracket for the 69 or 70. Take a look at the smaller image to see them side by side. The repro is slightly taller and has extra holes in it so it fits other applications. We recommend sticking with good originals.  Why deviate from 100% correct if you don't need to.

This plastic socket is very brittle and almost always breaks when installing a new door jamb switches. Does not fit cars with Warning Group with door ajar option. Simply install by carefully breaking the old brittle plastic socket apart with pliers to free up the wire leads and plug wire leads into the new socket.
