Grade "A" doors have never been dented in, cracked in the door latch area or rusted in the corners. When you turn it over and inspect it, the seam it is not expanding from the inside out due to rust. There are no drilled holes for an after market impact strip and the sound deadener is still intact. Occasionally it will still bear the original paint but do expect multiple small door dings. This is the best condition Western door you could ever hope to find, no excuses, satisfaction guaranteed....

You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 69-70 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. Our grade "A" doors do not have noticeable blisters but since there is no paint or sound deadener in the depths of the corners we know there is some amount of corrosion taking place...

These fuel door Mercury crest emblems are a close to original reproduction. They are an economical alternative to brighten up the looks of the rear of your 1969 - 1970 Cougar. This crest was used on all models except the 1970 Eliminator. To remove your emblem we suggest grinding down the studs on the backside. To install the reproduction emblem you will need the 26120 trim clip.

This is a used fuel door insert we have cleaned up, painted the background black and installed a 1967-1969 headlight door walking cat emblem on. The original 1970 ELIMINATOR piece that this resembles had a smaller sized cat so this is not exactly correct for your original 1970 Eliminator.

This version of the emblem was actually used on early 70's full-size Mercurys, and is almost identical to the 1969-70 version used on Cougars. This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. Stainless steel throttle pedal surround trim. Self attaching to part number C9ZZ-9735-A. This used part may have some wear, but will not have broken tabs. Fine steel wool really shines these up. In the Master Parts Catalog this part is called a cover, Ford part number C9OZ-9735-A. Not all Mustangs received this trim for the accelerator pedal, but it will attach, no problem. Spring that gives tension to the to your accelerator pedal. We have a limited number of these NOS springs. They came in a bulk FoMoCo package so we cannot offer you the original packaging.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

Band or ring style factory exhaust pipe clamp. For 2-1/4 inch outside diameter exhaust pipes. Comes with a course sheet metal type hex head bolt. Looks right and it works, but belt alignment will be off. Needs about 1/8 inch of shim to align with the other pulleys.
