This is a complete set of Deluxe (chrome bands on buckles) safety belts removed from a 1969 hardtop minus torx bolt hardware. The set consists of two front retractors (they are not side specific) that measure 22" fully extended tip to tip, four lap belts bonded in pairs with the shoulder portion measuring 45" and the lap belt portion measuring 30" total length. This would be for the non-competition suspension Cougars. U-Bolt length 7 inches, and threads 1-1/4 inch in length. U-Bolts include two (2) correct style attaching nuts 7/16-20 threads. This size of U-bolt seems to be the most common found on Cougars, no matter the leaf pack stack.  Ford part number C7WY-5705-A. Why is this right rear wheel lip so costly and difficult to find these days? Consider this... The right rear was the first to go obsolete from Ford. Used vacuum hose for the steering column release valve used in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with the tilt / tilt away steering column. Regular vacuum hose can be used to replace this hose if you are missing the original. However, it will not be correct. This rubber plug is found on the bottom side of 68 and 69 Cougars without tilt column. It covers the access hole for the bolt that removes the column head / collar. We notice that most cars do not have them in place. This could be due to over site at the factory or them being lost over the years as the car has been serviced.
